WINS GIRLS' AMATEUR AT THE COUNTRY CLUB
Lincoln
Danielle Lemek of Doniphan won her third consecutive
state girls amateur championship Tuesday at the Country
Club of Lincoln. Leading by one entering the final round, Lemek
shot a 5-over par 77 to top runner-up Jackie ODoherty
of Lincoln by 5 shots. ODoherty finished at 158, Lemek
at 153.
Isabella
Baldacci of Norfolk posted the low round of the day with a 3-over
par 75 and finished 3rd at 160. Sarah Jo Pravecek of Omaha was
fourth with a 163.
With
her win, Lemek ties Lincolns Leigh Sutton for the most
girls amateur titles and with one more year of eligibility,
she can claim a record fourth straight championship in 2012.
Her state girls match play count is the same making this
victory her sixth state golf association championship.
