CONDITIONS
ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be an amateur golfer who is a resident of Nebraska
and a member of the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour (NJGT). A junior
golfer is defined as an amateur golfer who has not yet reached
the September 1 following graduation from secondary school.
Entries
are subject to rejection at any time (including during the Championship)
by the NGA. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Amateur
Status: All players must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur
Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf.
ENTRIES;
FORM, FEE, CLOSING DATE
All players shall apply on NGA forms. Forms may be obtained from
the NGA office or the NGA web site, www.nebgolf.org.
Entry
fee of $50 shall be paid by every player. Entry fee will be refunded
regardless of reason if the NGA (402-505-4653) is notified before
the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be
refunded in the case of injury or illness, if requested by July
11. No refund for any reason after July 11. A $25 service charge
will be deducted from all refunds.
ENTRY
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY NGA NO LATER THAN 5 P.M. C.D.T.
ON TUESDAY, JULY 6, 2010.
Late
applications are not acceptable and will be automatically rejected.
(Entries by telephone, telegraph, or FAX not acceptable.) Time
limit for entries means time of receipt at NGA (not time entry
is sent to NGA). Entries should be submitted early to allow ample
time for delay or error in transmission. The risk of delay or
error in transmission lies solely with the entrant and the NGA
shall have no liability with respect to any such delay or error
and the consequences therefrom, including rejection of the entry.
SCHEDULE
Championship - 54 holes.
MONDAY, JULY 12, First Round, 18-holes.
TUESDAY, JULY 13, Second Round, 18-holes.
45 lowest scores and anyone tying for 45th place or anyone within
10 strokes of the leader for the first 36-holes continue play
July 14; remainder eliminated after 36-holes.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 14, Third Round, 18-holes.
Lowest score for 54 holes will be champion. A tie for first place
will be played off hole by hole until a champion is determined.
PRIZES
WINNER: Custody of championship trophy, silver medal and a crystal
trophy to keep.
RUNNER-UP:
Crystal trophy and gold medal.
TOP
TEN: Gold medal.
RULES
OF GOLF; CLOSE OF COMPETITION
Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the
USGA. Questions shall be settled by the Nebraska Junior Amateur
Championship Committee, whose decision shall be final. Competition
shall be deemed to have closed when the Championship trophy has
been presented.
Championship
competitors may be required to attend a Rules meeting prior to
the competition.
GOLF BALLS
Only brands of golf balls on the most current USGA List of Conforming
Golf Balls may be used. This list is updated monthly and may be
found on the USGA web site at www.usga.org or by contacting the
USGA technical Department at (908) 234-2300.
FOOTWEAR
It is a condition of the competition that shoes with traditionally-designed
spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.)
or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or
partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the
course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for
breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.
CADDIES
A player may provide his own caddie. If he wishes the host club
to furnish a caddie, he should ask the NGA because sufficient
caddies may not be available at the host club.
Exception: A player may not use a parent or guardian as a caddie
during the championship.
PUBLICITY
and PROMOTION
By submitting an application, the player agrees to allow the NGA
& NJGT to use the player's photographic/video image for any
NGA & NJGT media related use(s).
SCORE
POSTING
All scores will be posted for handicap purposes. Players should
not post these scores individually.
TIME
OF STARTING
Note under Rule 6-3 and Optional Condition as prescribed in Appendix
I shall be in effect.

CONDITIONS;
SCHEDULES
The NGA Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of
the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the NGA Tournament
Committee in any matter shall be final.
PERSONAL
APPEARANCE
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and
personal grooming. The Committee in charge shall decide whether
this requirement has been met, and has authority to withdraw the
entry of a player who does not comply.
TOURNAMENT
INFORMATION
A memo to contestants including groupings and starting times will
be mailed or e-mailed after the close of entries. If you have
not received a memo within four days of the Championship, it is
your responsibility to contact the NGA. Tournament information
will also be available at www.nebgolf.org.
