Gothenburg - Josh Reinertson of Gibbon defeated Richard Schneider of Beemer 1 up Saturday to claim his first state junior golf association championship at Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg. Reinertson jumped out to a 5 up lead after 12 holes in the morning session eventually ending the morning round 3 up.

Schneider chipped away at Reinertson's lead in the afternoon session trimming the deficit to one on three different occasions, the last following a Reinertson bogey on the 35th hole. The pair of golfers then halved the final hole with pars securing the championship for Reinertson, a junior to be at Gibbon High School.
