Omaha - John Sajevic of Fremont claimed his first Nebraska Senior Amateur Championship Friday by four shots at Omaha's Oak Hills Country Club. Defending champion, Michael Hoefs of Lincoln and Dave Shillinglaw of Papillion tied for runner up honors. Sajevic birdied holes 15, 16 and 17 enroute to a final round score of one-under par 70. Matched with a first round score of even par the Nebraska Golf Hall of Fame member finished the two-day championship at 141.

In divisional play, Tom Olson of Omaha (58-64) and Roger Harms of Grand Island (65+) both claimed their third straight age division titles. Sajevic was the winner of the 50-57 division.
