Columbus - The amateur squad overcame a 24-12 Four-Ball deficit to claim the 2008 Nebraska Cup Matches Thursday against the state's top golf professionals at Elks Country Club. Of the twelve afternoon singles matches the amateurs lost one, halved two and won nine to claim the cup 37-35. The overall series now stands PGA 19, NGA 17.

The Nebraska Cup Matches pit the top twelve amateur golfers in the state against the Nebraska Section of the PGA's top twelve professionals. The event feature's both Four-Ball and Singles matches in a Nassau-style scoring competition.
