BRUEGGEMANN
AND DUFFY WIN STATE FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Ashland, Neb. Jayson Brueggemann of Lincoln and Patrick
Duffy of Omaha teamed to win the 9th Nebraska Four-Ball Championship
at Quarry Oaks Golf Club Sunday. The duos 36-hole score
of 6-under par 136 bested two teams by a single shot. Dan Guinan
and Tom Rowen, both of Omaha shot the tournaments low round
(66) on Sunday to finish at 137 along with Danny Huston and Scott
Tridle, both of Lincoln (68-69).
The win is
Duffys second Four-Ball title. He teamed with Mark Nevrivy
of Omaha to win in 2004. Brueggemann and Duffy are both past individual
state champions. Brueggemann claimed the 2008 Nebraska Amateur
while Duffy won the 2006 Nebraska Match Play Championship.
The Nebraska
Four-Ball Championship is one of 9 state championships conducted
