Gothenburg - Lincoln's Wilderness Ridge Golf Club defeated Shadow Ridge Country Club of Omaha14-10 to claim the 2008 NGA Team Interclub Championship Monday at Wild Horse Golf Club. Wilderness advanced to the final match by defeating Omaha's Ironwood Golf & Country Club 13-11 in a morning semifinal match. Shadow Ridge topped Kearney Country Club 14-10 in the other semifinal.

Members of the championship squad from Wilderness Ridge are Jon Engdahl, Barry Meyer, John Fecht, Brad Bailey, Dick Krapfl, Tim Frank, Kevin Gade and Scott Kieffer.

The NGA Team Interclub competition is a goodwill competition between member clubs of the Nebraska Golf Association. The championship is a first for Wilderness Ridge.
