Nebraska-Kansas Junior Cup Matches (2012)

This event
pits the top eight junior golfers from Kansas and Nebraska against
each other in a team match play format. The competition begins
Thursday, August 9 with morning Foursomes and afternoon Four-Ball
matches and concludes Friday with eight singles matches. Similar
to the Ryder Cup, each match is worth one point. Kansas defeated
Nebraska 10-6 in the 2011 Junior Cup Matches at Happy Hollow Club
to even the overall series at 13-13.
Selection
of the 2012 Nebraska team will be based upon the NGA's junior
point standings published Friday, July 20. Those golfers ranked
in the top seven qualify for the team. The Nebraska Golf Association
Board of Directors has granted the NGA Junior Committee the right
to select the remainder of the team, including replacements for
qualifiers.
