Three Tips for Posting This Season
Active Posting Season Began March 15
The official golf season kicked off earlier this week here in Nebraska, and with temperatures rising, it's time to get in golf mode.
Here are a few tips for posting scores this season.
Post the Same Day You Play
It's very important to post your scores right away. Our ask of you – post your scores on the same day of play. This ensures an up-to-date Handicap Index and allows your score to contribute to the daily playing conditions calculation.
Post Hole-by-Hole Scores
This ensures Net Double Bogey is automatically calculated. So, if you had a bad hole, the app will adjust your score if needed. It also provides additional insights about your performance.
Did you know that you can go to the Stats tab on your GHIN app and see how your perform on par 3s, 4s and 5s? Or that you can see your average score on each hole at your home course? As long as you post your scores hole-by-hole, you have access to this info!
Be Sure to Select the Correct Tees
Some courses have lots of tees to choose from, make sure you're selecting the correct tee set before posting. If you select the wrong one, your Score Differential will be incorrect, and therefore your Handicap Index will be inaccurate.
However, if you do make a mistake when posting a score, reach out to your club staff and they can edit it for you! You can always reach out to us too, if you need help with a score.
If you haven't already, download the GHIN App and create your digital profile to get started posting!
Get to posting, and share your firsts, bests and everything in between on social media with us on Instagram, Facebook, X or TikTok.
