Kansan Douglass Qualifies for 2026 U.S. Girls' Junior

Qualifying Conducted on Monday at Elks Country Club

COLUMBUS (June 22, 2026) - Addison Douglass of Wamego, Kansas earned a spot in the 77th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship through qualifying at Elks Country Club in Columbus on Monday.

Douglass earned medalist honors with a round of 67 (-5), taking the lone qualifying spot as the only player under-par. She finished five strokes ahead of the field with six birdies and just one bogey.

Two players tied for second at 72 (E), including Alyssa Zhang of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Regina Chiu of Hong Kong, China. They went into a playoff to determine the alternate positions, with Zhang claiming first alternate and Chiu taking second alternate.

Bennington's Anna Midyett was the highest Nebraskan on the leaderboard, finishing a stroke out of the alternate playoff with a 73 (+1).

Douglass will play next at the 77th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina July 13-18.
