Sedlak, Anderson Take Home Hardware at Midwest Adaptive Open
Championship Conducted Tuesday-Wednesday at Sand Creek Station in Kansas
NEWTON, KS (September 23, 2026) - Nebraskans Mandi Sedlak of Johnson Lake and Blake Anderson of Omaha competed in the 2nd Midwest Adaptive Open at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas this week, both bring home hardware.
Sedlak took the Overall Women's Title with rounds of 80 (+8) and 77 (+5). She ran away from the field, winning by 29 strokes with a 157 (+13) total. It's a repeat for Sedlak, who also won the title last year in convincing fashion.
Anderson finished tied for sixth in the Men's Overall race. His rounds of 82 (+10) and 81 (+9) gave him a 163 (+19) total. Anderson took the win in his category, G6, which is for golfers with impairments in both arms.
Sedlak also won her category, G2, which is for golfers with impairments in the lower parts of one leg.
The Midwest Adaptive Open was introduced in 2025, in partnership with other Central Region Golf Associations. Central Links Golf has conducted the first two editions at Sand Creek Station, home of the 3rd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship, hosted by the USGA in the summer of 2024. The championship is open to golfers of various classifications of impairments, such as individuals with arm and leg impairments, amputations, blind golfers and those with neurological and intellectual impairments.
