The Indian Creek Experience
Elkhorn Public Course Opens New Clubhouse & Amenities
ELKHORN (April 14, 2026) – Indian Creek has always been a highly regarded golf course, and a leader in the Omaha metro public golf scene. With the opening of a new clubhouse, Indian Creek has elevated the off-course experience.
General Manager Jim Nedrow joined The NebGolf Podcast to talk about the new "Indian Creek Experience" and what golfers can expect when they visit in 2026.
Indian Creek now boasts country club-level amenities for the public golfer. It's not just for golfers either, it's open to anyone and everyone.
"The idea is to remain public, and remain accessible and provide that unique experience to people who either choose not to belong to a country club, can't belong to a country club, or want a place to go to compliment their country club," Nedrow said.
The Sand Room recently opened as Indian Creek's lounge, featuring anything from craft cocktails to light beer. Food centers around pizza and wings, and Nedrow describes the vibe as sort of an elevated sports bar.
"If you're familiar with Omaha's bar scene, or restaurant scene. I've kind of compared it if you took Alice and you took Proof and you took the Good Life and they all kind of merged and had a baby, and that's what that space is," Nedrow said about The Sand Room.
Indian Creek leaned into the exploding simulator golf scene as well, with bays next to the lounge. They are private rooms with easy access to the lounge. You can book a simulator bay online now at indiancreekexperience.com.
The Approach will be Indian Creek's restaurant offering, opening in late April/early May. Nedrow has been serving as a taste-tester for the developing menu, and he's excited for the dynamic dining experience, with different offerings than The Sand Room.
"These are standalone businesses that happen to be in a clubhouse," Nedrow said. "That lounge is open independent of the golf course, seven days a week, the restaurant is the same, it's its own thing. You don't have to play golf, you don't have to understand anything about golf."
Add in The Laurel Room, which will be open for events from 20 guests to 225 guests, for weddings, corporate events, community celebrations and more.
The Shop is Indian Creek's new pro shop, with everything you need for your round of golf and more!
Need a quick bite, or a six-pack for the course? Visit Bump and Run, the new snack bar.
Finally, something every golfer can use. A world-class practice facility. The range is now closer to The Shop, making it easier to get checked in and warmed up. A significantly expanded practice putting green is right there off the parking lot, with a short game area next to it to work on your chipping and bunker game.
