Lohrbach Comes Back to Win 51st Nebraska Women's Amateur
Robertson Takes Women's Senior Amateur Thursday at Beatrice Country Club
BEATRICE (June 5, 2025) – Husker golfer Eden Lohrbach put together an incredible final round to comeback to win the 51st Nebraska Women’s Amateur Championship on Thursday at Beatrice Country Club.
Anne Robertson of Columbus also closed out the 47th Nebraska Women's Senior Amateur Championship, claiming her second title.
Lohrbach, a rising sophomore from Ames, Iowa, posted one of the best rounds in championship history, a 69 (-3), to come from five strokes back to win her first Nebraska Women's Amateur title. She finished with a 220 (+4) total to win. She's the third Husker to win in the last four years, joining Miu Takahashi (2023) and Megan Whittaker (2022).
After an opening bogey, Lohrbach made birdie on No. 2 and caught fire from there. She added birdies on Nos. 6, 7 and 9, to make the turn in 33 (-3) and leading by two strokes. She faltered slightly on the back nine, making bogeys on Nos. 14 and 15, but answered with two clutch birdies on Nos. 17 and 18 to give herself some cushion. A closing par secured the win.
The defending champion and 36-hole leader, Katie Ruge of Omaha, lost her lead early after a tough start, but made a run late to finish runner-up. Her birdie-birdie finish closed out a round of 78 (+6), to give her a 224 (+8) total.
A pair of Husker finished tied for third at 225 (+9), with Lincoln's Olivia Lovegrove firing a final round 73 (+1) and Arden Louchheim a 76 (+4) to move into the top five.
Omaha's Kaitlyn Hanna finished fifth at 227 (+11), and Lincoln's Nicole Kolbas put together one of the best rounds of the day, a 72 (E), to finish sixth at 228 (+12).
Naryn Kim of Lincoln was seventh at 230 (+14), and earned Low Junior honors. Wahoo's Lauren Thiele took eighth at 231 (+15). Grand Island's Hailey Kenkel finished ninth at 232 (+16), while Lincoln's Eden Larson rounded out the Top 10 at 234 (+18).
On the Senior side, Robertson gave up her lead briefly, but it was a wire-to-wire win for the Columbus High School coach. She was the only player to break 80 both rounds, firing a 79 (+7) in the final round to win by two strokes with a 157 (+13) total.
Robertson adds to her 2023 title with this win, and is the seventh player to win multiple Nebraska Women's Senior Amateurs.
Lincoln's Stephanie Kolbas finished runner-up with a 159 (+15) total in her first senior championship. Eight-time champion Susan Marchese of Omaha was third at 161 (+17), and last year's champion Jill Pilkington of Lincoln was fourth at 165 (+21). Omaha's Nancy Pflug and Elkhorn's Miae Hatfield tied for fifth at 167 (+23).
