Ace-Birdie Finish Earn Brown/Kuhlman Nebraska Four-Ball Title

Championship Conducted Friday and Saturday at The Prairie Club

VALENTINE (May 9, 2026) - The 25th Nebraska Four-Ball Championship concluded in dramatic fashion on Sunday at the The Prairie Club in Valentine, with Kolby Brown of Omaha and Brock Kuhlman of Columbus surging to victory on The Pines Course.

The Creighton University teammates fired a Final Round 65 (-8) and finished with a 36-hole total of 134 (-12) to win by one stroke over two teams. It's the first title for the duo, and they are the first college players to win the championship.

Brown and Kuhlman entered the closing stretch tied near the top of the leaderboard before producing back-to-back fireworks on the final two holes. Kuhlman delivered the shot of the championship at the 175-yard par-3 17th hole, holing a 7-iron for an ace to vault the duo into the lead at 11-under.

One hole later, Brown was just short of the par-5 18th green in two, and converted a closing birdie to give them the clubhouse lead at 12-under. They then watched the remaining contenders come up just short, securing the title.

The father-son duo of Andy and Gavin Gerch of Lincoln finished tied for runner-up at 135 (-11) after rounds of 69-66. Gavin nearly holed a chip shot for eagle on the 18th hole to tie the lead, but tapped in to come up one-stroke short. Table Rock's Calvin Freeman and Omaha's Mike Siwa were at the top of the leaderboard for much of the day, but needed a birdie on the closing hole and came up short.

Three teams tied for fourth at 136 (-10), including a couple more Creighton teammates, Grant Feldman and Owen Price. Omaha's Will Hagel and Papillionโ€™s Justin Hamilton also finished at 10-under, along with first-round leaders Patrick Clare of Lincoln and Graham Southwick of Beatrice.

The Prairie Club hosted the Nebraska Four-Ball Championship for a second-straight year after making its debut on the championship schedule in 2025. The Pines Course once again provided a dramatic finish and tested one of the strongest fields in recent championship history.
