OMAHA (June 1, 2026) – Lochland Country Club is set to host the upcoming 52nd Nebraska Women’s Amateur Championship, as well as the 48th Nebraska Senior Women’s Amateur, June 2-4.

It has been 50 years since Lochland Country Club last played host for the Women’s Amateur, with the course hosting the 2nd Nebraska Women’s Amateur back in 1976.

The Women's Amateur begins play on Tuesday, with 54 holes of stroke play scheduled. The field of 43 includes two previous champions, defending champion Eden Lohrbach of Lincoln, and 2025 winner Katie Ruge of Omaha. The two are joined by Nicole Kolbas of Lincoln in the 9:30 a.m. tee time Tuesday morning.

All three women competed at the NCAA Division I level this spring. Defending champion Eden Lohrbach finished her Sophomore season at the University of Nebraska, Katie Ruge finished her collegiate career this season with Omaha, and Nicole Kolbas finished up her junior season at the University of Nevada.

Three-time Nebraska Girls' Golfer of the Year, Julia Karmazin of Omaha, and her sister Emily are both playing in this year’s championship, with their pairings also featuring sisters, The Thiele sisters, Brooke and Lauren of Wahoo.

Lauren is a two-time Nebraska Girls’ Match Play Champion, and the reigning Nebraska Women's Match Play Champion. She'll play alongside current Husker golfer Arden Louchheim, as well as Julia Karmazin in the 10:20 a.m. pairing.

Brooke Thiele, winner of the 2025 Nebraska Girls’ Amateur, looks to add to the list of her sisters golf accolades. Her older sister and former husker Haley Thiele is a three-time Nebraska Women’s Amateur champion, most recently in 2019. Brooke will tee off at 10:30 a.m., as is joined by a pair of University of Omaha golfers, Elly Honnens and Emily Karmazin.

The 48th Nebraska Women’s Senior Amateur also begins play at Lochland Country Club Tuesday, with three previous champions in the field of 23 players. This will be the 15th Women’s Senior Amateur that Lochland Country Club has hosted, including the first eight in the championships 48 year history.

The championship consists of 36 holes of stroke play, starting on Tuesday and concluding on Wednesday. Two-time champion, as well as the defending champion, Anne Robertson of Columbus looks to win her third title in four years. Jill Pilkington of Lincoln, winner of the 2024 Nebraska Women’s Senior Amateur, eyes her second Women’s Senior Amateur title.

Jane Pohlman of Omaha, who is tied for the second-most titles of all time (five), looks to win her first title since 2013. Should Pohlman win, it will tie the Women’s Senior Amateur record for longest span between titles at 13 years, as well as set the record for most time between first and last titles at 20 years. The current owner of those records is Jean Hyland.

Pohlman tees off at 9:45 a.m. with defending champion Anne Robertson of Columbus and Nancy Pflug of Omaha making up the tee time.
