Final Qualifying Conducted on Tuesday at Shadow Ridge Country Club

OMAHA (June 9, 2026) - Shane Bertsch of Parker, Colorado fired a 68 (-4) to earn medalist honors Tuesday in Final Qualifying for the 46th U.S. Senior Open at Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha.

Bertsch paced a field of 42 and led a group of five who advanced to the championship at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, July 2-5. 

Heath Slocum of Milton, Ga., was next at 69 (-3). A trio followed at 70 (-2): Chris Devlin of Hoover, Ala., Scottsbluff's Brock Ehler (a) and Brendan Jones of Australia. 

Bertsch, Slocum and Jones are all professionals. Devlin is an Amateur Awaiting Reinstatement and Ehler, the lone Nebraskan to advance, took low amateur honors at the site

Shadow Ridge was one of 12 Final Qualifying venues nationwide for this year's championship. Learn more about the championship at usga.org.
