Four Advance to U.S. Open Final Qualifying
U.S. Open Local Qualifying Conducted on Wednesday at Omaha Country Club
OMAHA (May 6, 2026) - Omaha’s Luke Gutschewski and Lincoln’s Nate Vontz shared medalist honors at Local Qualifying for the 126th U.S. Open on Wednesday at Omaha Country Club, and were among four players earning spots in Final Qualifying.



Those nine players at 72 (+1) went to a playoff for the alternate spots, with Elkhorn's Danny Woodhead taking the first alternate spot and Omaha's Jackson Benge earning the second alternate spot.
The four qualifiers will play next at one of 10 Final Qualifying sites, which will take place in late May/early June. Top finishers from those sites will advance to the 126th U.S. Open, June 18-21, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southhamption, New York.
